Getting Snow here FINALLY!

Post by quadfamily »

It's true, it's snowing here and they're calling for 8-14" by the time it's all over sometime tomorrow. I just went out to the trailer and fired up the Trailfire and the Sportfire. Going out to get gas for them now. Can't wait to ride!!!!! Oh I also got the snowblower ready!

I think there's going to be a new fad going to be started by us on the boards .... instead of Tornado Chasers, we will have Snow Chasers. Have trailer full of sleds...will travel.

We got over a foot, possibly 14". Had to work all morning unfortunately(isn't that how it always goes?). Spent over 3 hours cleaning the 600' driveway with the snowblower, snow was heavy. Finally got the sleds out and proceeded to get stuck! Actually it was hard to drive because I was giving my daughter a ride. Got it out and had a blast. Did push alot of snow with the front end though and it was all flying over the windshield. It was very hard to see with the helmet shield all iced up! Flipped it up a little bit and all the snow was hitting me in the face! I know, I know, at least I have snow right? Well it may sound like I'm complaining but I'm really not, just describing todays ride. The kids have off from school tomorrow and they want to ride more. By the way, it' still snowing. They're calling for another inch and a half or so.

Had very much the same kind of ride today , we got about 20 inches of fluffy powder . What a blast , once I got some trails cut had a blast . Biggest problem I had was I had to stop and snow blow the drive way a couple of times . Now I feel like calling into work tomorrow and asking for a mental health day .

Andy, I'm about 2 to 3 hours below you, but we don't have any public snowmobile trails.

Well here is shot of my 12 year old son on the Sportfire taken today. We had so much fun. I ended up pulling all my kids and their friends on a plastic sled tied to the snowmobile.
