It really is about time for this bill. I personnally have three Deeres that would qualify right now. I would love to ride them on the public trails but I refuse to pay $30 every two years on three sleds for the few miles I would run per year. I already pay this fee for my two Polaris trail machines. As good member of the AWSC ( Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs) I know the AWSC has been lobbying for this for quite some time. Eight years ago I paid $150 for collector plates for my 69 Camaro that I drive 500-1000 miles per year which is very fair. I hope this passes, it would be great. Duane

Something similar is being worked on in PA - a permit that would allow the owner of a vintage sled to operate it at a show or parade, and the permit would be good for as long as that person owns the sled.

Remember, this has been in the legislature in 07 and 08 as well. They tossed it aside because some of the "antique" clubs didn't want to be associated with the newer vintage sleds. They figured that since the old sled people couldn't come to an agreement, it wasn't worth putting their time. Like you said, the AWSC has always been in favor. Lets hope it goes the right way this time!

I almost forgot - email your local senators and representatives and ask them to hold a discussion on the bill. They need to know how important this is to us.
