Does anyone know why there are two different styles of the dash with gauges for the JD fire series? I am refering to how some dashes have JOHN DEERE in rased white lettering and others have it on a sticker in a small recess in the dash. What were the years or models that each style originaly came on or was one standard and the other a factory option?

The 79 & 80 sleds had the flimsy dashs that quite a few are cracked and broken, with the sticker in the front in the recess, and the 81-84 had the heavier type with the raised John Deere in the front. I just went out and looked at my 79 Trailfire 440 and it has the earlier dash but it doesn't have the John Deere sticker or the recess in the dash. Shawn
