Want to really make that thing go? Put on dual Mikunis like my 600 has, the are flange style, round slide, 25mm I believe and have been told they are off of a Polaris. It runs great and I hit 65mph with that big sled in ideal conditions this year. They bolt right up and I have not fouled a plug yet, Took it 72 miles this weekend trouble free.

That was going to be my next step! Dual carbs that is, I have a set of 32mm's (I think) but they are spigot mounted and need to find a set of the rubber mounts for them, then a dual outlet fuel pump and I'll be set!!!
This has been one of my favorite projects! It don't need to be pretty and I'm learning a few things about sleds!

I got the bad cylinder off today and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Still bad though!
ICCSF 108, are both the replacement pistons the same or do they have a specific side? the bad one on mine is the recoil side. the pto side looks good.

How do I go about getting the Aluminum off from the cylinder walls? Lightly scrape it with something? I've been told to use "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner, but how? Just put it on the aluminum with a Q-Tip?
The piston measured at 2.668 inches or 67.7672 mm's, so they must be standard bore, correct?

I did some checking into the 440 Rotax pistons. Found one guy from another site that had some but they are REAL EXPENSIVE!!! Kind of cost prohibitive for my application. $160.00 A PISTON! Those Ski Doo guys must have all the money!jdmatt wrote:No after market pistons available.
