The motor I picked up is an '07 Evinrude E-TEC 225H.O. The boat was rigged prior with a Mercury 250XS and ran 103mph on GPS. So I'm looking for mid to high 90's with the 225H.O. I'm having a custom interior stitched up as well. Going to dress it up rather nicely.

I don't think you could pay me to go 100 on a boat. I would need a change of pants.

Merc's are crap good choice on the E-tec. My grandfather had a 21' center console Fishing boat that had two 250 Evenrudes. That thing he claimed did 80mph. We got up that close and boy was it fun.

Well, been making some progress on this project. Things are going to start happening fast over the next month or two. Here are a couple of pics of the repair job. The hull was repaired from the outside and also the inside. The floor had to be cut out to get to the repair area, then the flood had to be glassed back in after the repair was complete.

New interior. I designed the patterns and had some custom embroidery done to match. Then I had a local guy perform his magic.

Wow, that is very nice work and a cool boat!
John Deere Green with a big "Jumping Deere" on the side would have been cooler though... Just kidding! :lol22:
What are you naming her?

As a side note~
Back in the early 90's, my college room-mates and I co-owned a 17' Taylor Jet Boat with a Weiand 8-71 blown 468 ci. Big Block Chevy in it! Needless to say, it was easy to pick up girls in that thing and nothing short of a Fountaine or a Donze could touch us in speed or acceleration on the lakes or rivers; but it cost a fortune to keep her thirst for fuel quenched with high octane 94 marine fuel of the day..
 It was just a light weight, floating gas tank with a big-azz engine in it and only sat 4, but boy...we sure had fun with it for a while. We named her "Suck My Wake" after that jet boat in the movie, The Great Out Doors" with John Candy. :D

Have fun- cause' high perf. boating is a blast!!
