You guy's crack me up, I really don't know what he's asking for it, I hope cheap, but anyway this will be a summer hunt anyway.
I'm making another trip to VN to look for Dator motors, & see if I can find a place to make 295/S & 340/S pistons.. Leaving Feb. 16th & returning march 6th..

What year SV-1 do you have? If I remember correctly Malcome made them with Ford 351's at first and then Mopar 360's. I think they were built for about 3 years from 74-76 or so?
Mine's a 75, Joe. The 74's had the AMC 360 while the 75's and the tiny number of 76 models built used the Ford 351. Evidently, the reason they had to switch to the Ford engines was pollution related as the AMC mill couldn't meet the 1975 emmision standards unless they put a catalytic converter on it.....and apparantly there simply was not enough space under the the floorpan to mount a cat without the risk of the heat from the converter burning up the fibreglass floorpan. The Ford engine was able to meet the standards without the use of a cat. A buddy of mine has a 74 and his is actually one of the very few factory 4 speeds produced. It'll outrun mine in a big way.

Kenny, things that would make this car more valuable would be, the 120mph dash, auto-trans (very few built with automatics), BLACK interior package, large moulding package, the original craig audio system w/cassette, the turbo upgrade as JD Joe stated, any paperwork, covers and accessories, and the original Goodyear NCT-1 tires which are no longer produced. Either way this car will never go down in value. You can have an NOS Delorean made for 30,000 or a refurbished one made for 20,000 at Delorean-One. They have a website. It may save you money. Remember that those old Volvo fuellies burn a lot of oil, but they sound cool. I've always wanted an '83 DMC-12, but I've only had the chance to test drive. They are made for a guy that is 6'2" and taller as John Delorean was 6'5" tall and wanted a car to fit his stature. This makes for a very roomy and fun to drive car.
