I am working on a this 4-wheeler for a friend. Problem is the electric start is flaky.

Partial disassembley shows that the problem is the starter clutch gear is loose on the shaft. It moves side to side about 6 mm.

This causes the starter idle gear to unmesh under load and the then freespin.

My question.... Is there a spacer or bushing that goes between the large gear and the crankcase?

I do not have a parts manual on this thing but do have a service manual. The service manual does not have a parts pictorial.

Anyone have experience with this or know of an on-line parts breakdown?
