Spring Storm

Post by deeredr »

Don't know if you're aware of the weather in the Denver area, but what they're saying is all true!!
A real spring storm, I measured about 14" on top of the picnic table this morning and I hear it's as much
as 36" in some areas in the mountains.
Wow, a real storm just like the old days.

Trouble is, even with this going on until early afternoon, it will be in the 40's today and high 50's tomorrow and 70's
all next week so the snow is likely a last gasp of winter.

Good day to stay inside methinks

I'm jealous...but then again, Jefferson is next weekend and after standing in feet of mud trying to sell stuff, I wouldn't mind it being dry.

Well, snow was supposed to stop at noon Saturday....wrong again! It snowed pretty hard clear on into late night.
Some friends west of me in the foothills received over 34", I think we must have got around 15-20". It wasn't as
bad in Denver although some flights were cancelled and a few highways were closed.

And today, Sunday, back up to 60, absolutely beautiful day. Water everywhere, snow already gone from roads and
more than half melted. It's crazy. With temps in the 70's next few days I bet by Tuesday there will be little or no snow
left anywhere.

Things will green up now I bet

Greg
ps-when I went to friend's this afternoon, passed by a field and there were 6 people out running two snowmobiles! Looked like
fun.
