Bob & Rich "The Bob Project" Carbs

Post by ICCSF 108 »

Bob: what has been done to your carbs? anything??? So far I replaced the broken fittings, & have both stripped down, I'll spray them out again just to make sure there clean, replace the "O" rings on the bowl to main body tubes, install new bowl gaskets, etc. but I need to know if these are new Needle & seats, mains, power, & pilot jets?? You might have to repaint these if your paint job fails but I will try to clean them & leave the paint....
Do you know the elevation around your place? If not find out & let me know..
Do you plan on riding at below 0 temperatures??
Rich, Should we Jet this for 0 & above temps?? How do you want these jetted?? I do have a few extra Jet Needles & Needle Jets if you have other than std. recommendations.. I don't have & couldn't find any 3.0 slides only the std. 3.5 ones.. :sled: should I use Paul's pilot jet recommendations as his seemed to run good with what he had used?? Or do you think every sled will act differently??
:sled:

Ken I have all new Needle and Seats as well as jets. I am unsure what I have I think it was the basic set up in the back of the Manual. I am mostly above zero riding and below 4000ft. I can get you more info this weekend. Dont worry about the paint.

Bob, Your paint job didn't pass the torture test, & I hadn't even got to the water boarding yet..
Carbs are done except for fuel line, I'll order that tomorrow..
Next up engine assembly..

Bob, how would you like the yellow Tygon (the real stuff)? I can send you a couple feet if it interests you....

Also, your Liquifire manual was shipped out yesterday (Wednesday), so you should recieve it tomorrow.

The hose is on me......shipping was cheaper than what I told you, thanks to USPS media rate, so more money isn't needed. Probably will go out either Saturday or Monday.
