What are you doing this summer

Post by Wildfire II »

By looking at the latest postings not much. Well here I m on the road again touring the west. The picture was taken at Snowy Range Pass just outside of Centennial Wy. This is anouther testing area. The year would be 73-74. I am headed to Park City Utah for about 4-5days. Then possably head north to Yellowstone to the areas where the last sleds were tested. The much fabeled Wildfire. I will probly be on the road anouther 2 weeks, if my body will hold out. 250 miles in one day with lotts of stos feels like one Winnipeg day. Did I say I will be 70 next month!!!! Hey guys Get out and stop watching utube More later ED

This is true Ed!

There's stuff going on, the charity builds are the most public, but Vintage Challenge rides are being built as well. We're hoping to field a wolf pack of 340S' at St. Germain next Feb.

Rainville might even build one, but we need to keep the screws turned tight to induce him to get it done.

Ed just curious what way you are going up to Yellowstone. It should be a nice ride up there, very pretty if you go thru the tetons!!

Plan on going up the back side through driggs etc. and stay out of the main park roads.
Been through the south entrance a few times. Yes verry nice. I wil have a hard enough time going east to Cody through all the tourests. Trying to avoid the croud on this trip. Been to yellowstone many times even in the summer. Thanks for your interest and tip. ED

Hey Ed,

Looks like you are having a great trip. I hope you enjoy it! Check out the 'summer fun' catigory under "Doing some landscaping with a dozer" to see why I don't have time to vacation.

Enjoy your trip!

I looked up "vacation" at Webster.com and it says:

1: a respite or a time of respite from something : intermission What exactly would you take a respite from?
2 a: a scheduled period during which activity (as of a court or school) is suspended I don't believe you are in school any longer b: a period of exemption from work granted to an employeeFrom what kind of "work"?

Just food for thought, now get back either to the basement project or the 340/S project and stop dreaming about a vacation!!

Hey Ed,

Glad to see you still carry that camera! Take some pictures of the old testing grounds. I enjoy those back then vs. now comparison photos. Always neat to see how much things change or stay the same.

I've been spending a lot of time at the river as a few on here can atest to. I've got my 12 year old water sking. Pretty tough feat but we managed.

All this riding will have you in shape for this winter. Sure would like to see you on the 340/S at the HOF.

Take care and have a safe trip.

Tipitup ....My plan is to go to Evanston up around Bear LK to 89 through Afton and backside of Tetons through Driggs to West Yellow Stone. I have been through the south ent. to Jackson and been through west ent. over Wilson Pass. Then I will have to fight with the tourests to get through the park to Cody. Should be a good days ride. You guys over in Logan sure have some good mountian rideing. Looks like some good rideing over here around Kamas and Heber Area. Hope it dont rain, it is in the forcast. ED

PS. 340/s has been gone through, fresh eng. (new rings and crank seals) race ready. My trailer is junk though!!!
