COIL PLATE HELP
K Problem NOT CARBS , 2 different ones both rebuilt, now, rebuilt rig cant get it run past 1/4 throutle, been told my timeing is off, could i have put the coil plate on wrong????????? if so how to get it set back to run? or cheapest way to fix it with out takeing everthing apart again??? this is a 74 600 440/5 elec. start

Did you mark the position of the stator (coil plate as you call it) before you took it off? You may need to check the point gap, and if you didn't mark the stator, it needs to be timed. This process really needs to come from the tech manual. Maybe someone has this page scanned?

The timing procedure for points engines is in the FAQs.
