Electric stater motor

Post by flacker36 »

Seems the Hitachi S108-34 is no longer available. Does anyone know if they were used in other sleds or if there is a modern day replacement??

Cat used this same starter for many years. Sno-stuff had an aftermarket unit that was exactly the same.

i just scored a starer and fly wheel at the local yard off an artic cat with a kawasaki motor. i think it is a 292cc i must of got a dozen of them over the years they are $10 bucks each same goes for the flywheel. all the ealy cat use them. the flywheel has the teeth on it with a point style mechanical advance on it . i press offthe gear and cut down a liqufire flywheel to match and use them for an electric start conversion. i got both the same day but had to yank the motor i come prepared to get anything when i go there. also there was a liquifire in the buy the whole thing section for $150 no motor or salvagable good parts go figure. i just left it there. he did not even know the motor was missing. it is all junk to them. go lookk you will find them many out there all the ones i got worked.
