Reproduction Deere Temp Gauges
Hi Guys,
Many of us have had to use some sort of aftermarket temp guage on our Dators, first and second generation Liquifires. I have changed several of my sleds over to Stewart Warner electrical gauges. They work good, but do not look correct.
Thanks to the efforts of a Deere collector, Tom White from Mass. working with a gauge rebuilder, brand new mechanical gauges had new faces installed to look just like the OEM Deere gauge. Here are the pic's of the 80-84 Liquifire unit. They will work on all Liquid Deere's as the sender unit length was choosed to be close to the 76-78 gauge.
However, another face is being prepared to match the earlier gauge as used on the 76-78 Liquifire and 76 Liquidator. Price is expected to be in the $125 range and the first gauge will be available for purchase shortly.

Re: Reproduction Deere Temp Gauges
This is fantastic! I'm glad this is being done. Joe ... do you know if they can put a longer needle in with a short black
tail out the back side like the originals? Just curious if you have talked about this?
They look great the way they are even if they can't .....

Re: Reproduction Deere Temp Gauges
I spoke with the gentleman making the gauges and unfortunatley the needles shown on
the gauges are the only ones available. With the limited quanity of gauges he will be making
it would not be cost effective to have Stewart Warner tool up and make a new needle.

Re: Reproduction Deere Temp Gauges
I will not be the contact person for these gauges. The person making them will be posting on this site
in about two weeks after he gets the first batch of gauges in. If you would like to contact him before
that His name is Jerry Trcka, His company is Evergreen Restoration and his phone number is
(715) 635-8629. It would be a good idea to contact him now to give him a heads up on how many to
make. He also will be donating one for the silent auction at the Hall of Fame this coming February
so give him a call.

I have seen Jerry's name mentioned on the old tractor forums that I visit. His work is very highly regarded by the 2 cylinder tractor people.

Re: Reproduction Deere Temp Gauges
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there 3 different temp gauges used on the liquids? I'm thinking that either the 77 or the 78's had a different one than the 80-84 liquifires?? I know that they all use the same part number & that the 76 Liquifires & the Dators used the one with the numbers, but for some reason I remember a different one for the 77's or 78's??
