Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 295/S M65006 Clutch Guard & the M65267 from the 800 & JDX's, or the M65266 from the 300's, or the M65265 from the 400 & 600 or any of the other part numbers for the 00 series or JDX's ??

Kenny, they are all a little different.
The air duct is in a different spot on the RV engines vs the piston port.
The 440's had a larger vent.
The 72's are unique to tht year.
With that said the 73-77 ones will interchage but the ducts wont line up.

I'm wondering if it's because the 295/S one is aluminum?? are any of the others aluminum or are they steel?
I really don't car if the duct won't fit as I don't plan on using any, I just plan on modifying the existing clutch guard so that they will protect the driver if the clutch explodes & you still can change belts easily.. I don't really think that plastic duct gives much protection & it seems to me it would let the clutch run hotter..

You are asking about the curverd metal piece that goes from the tunnel to the crossbrace.
I was answering about the plastic pieces.
All the ones I have seen are steel metal. The 300 one is narrower as the salsbury clutch is not as wide as the Comet.
Dont'' know about the 295 as I do not have one.
