fuel pump issues

Finished up rididng today and the Trailfire made it without any issues after 200 miles but my 80 Liquifire finished with issues. After investigating my problems, I came to the conclusion my fuel pump is bad (leaks around the pump and air bubbles in my fuel lines) hauling them home right now, just thought i'd ask where one would start to look for a new one? Is it a common Mikuni part that could be found from most snowmobile parts suppliers?

If your Trailfire has the rectangle style fuel pump. Here is a rebuild kit for it.

You should be able to get the kits from any of the major vendors.

Obviously if the pump is leaking thats more than likely the problem, but one thing i've been burned on is overlooking the check valve filter in the tank. I've had them plugged with varnish before limiting fuel to the pump. Just an FYI.

I always buy the new ones from DK that look similar to the one you have on your liquifire now. You have to make 2 spacers
for under the mounting flanges ..... I use two nuts larger than the bolts for the spacers. The hole pattern is exactly
the same. The only other thing you will need to do to the pump is unscrew all screws and rotate the pickup for the impulse
line 60 degrees and put it back together. They are under $30 and well worth the money.

If the 80 Liquifire uses the same pump as the Invader/Intruder then Manufacturers Supply has a rebuild kit for it. Only thing isthat one of the gaskets is missing a hole that you have to add.

Thanks everyone for all your help! I just bought a new complete from DK for under $30.00. And like it was pointed out I had to put spacers under the bolt holes but the bolt spacing was dead on.
