Ski Doo Question

My uncle has 95 or 96' Ski Doo Formula STX 583.

He was saying it has a low end vibration. Seems to have a vibration at low speeds. But once you get going it smooths out...

Anyone have any ideas of what could be causing the vibration?

Primary clutch?

Check the dampner on the outside of the primary, they have a tendancy to come loose after time and miles. Check the motor mounts and the push arm, make sure that all of the drivetrain bearings are good, make sure that the belt doesn't have any missing cogs or a burn spot. If the belt is damaged, it can feel like the whole sled is coming apart. My money is on the belt or the mounts.

I ll have to let him know.

Seeing that this sled was infested with mice...they may have chewd up the belt!
Ill let you know what he finds.
