Re: Back from the HOF!
I'm finally home. Rainville isn't the only one with trailer problems now. I saw something was coming loose after leaving St. Germain, so we put some duck tape on just to be safe. Just before Chicago, I looked in the mirror and saw half the side panel of my trailer hanging off. Some duck tape, ratchet straps, and bungee cords later, we patched it up. It required some adjustment the rest of the trip which was very annoying. And on top of that, EZpass decided to disable my transponder, so back to paying tolls the old fashion way. Pat & I really got a surprise when we started to realize how much the tolls were costing. You don't think about it until your shelling out cash!
Edit: Here is a photo of my trailer after getting home. I'll have to snap another one after I take the straps off to unload the sled.

Sorry to hear about all Deere breakdowns!! There is always next year. I know last year our group of sleds barley made it out of St Germain without a break down...
Our group did pretty well this year. Had to replace one broken recoil and that was it. I'd say we got close to 200mi on our sleds in three days. My 80 LF ran great...even better at night when the temps were below 32deg...
I was happy with my 78's Cyclone's first ride since finishing the project. It was running a little rich but the warm temps probably played a part in that. I wish I had more time to ride it...
It was great meeting some new board members (Matt, harleysportster, and feere the deere) Sounds like everyone had a nice time which is the main thing. I know I am already looking forward to next year!

I would have to agree with (427Cobra), I was glad that I could ride more than 5 Miles without my sled dying out!! I wish the snow would have been better, but you can't have everything I guess!
I am already looking forward to next year also, only 360 some odd days left!! Better get my reservations made
I also enjoyed meeting a few more members and actually having time to talk
Happy Wrenching and see you next year

Ran great Paul...switching out the CDI seemed to do the trick! Only problem I had was the speedometer went out after the first night of riding, but suspect it might only be the little key inside the speedo drive?? I had her opened up on Big St. Germain Lake doing a little over 70 MPH !!
My only next hurdle is finding a clutch... When Eric and I tried getting it off before the trip, the threads stripped out. I believe it might have gotten rusted on after taking on water in that field?!
But other than that she started up in two pulls and was a runner
