jerkmybait,
The carb you have does not look like an orginal Walbro WRA-31 which should be on your X6. The carb in the picture has a manual choke on it. If you didn't know about it, simply pull up on the stem to apply the choke. If it works correctly, there is no need for a primer bulb.

Looks like a diaphram Mikuni carb on the sled.
The choke cable is missing. Without the choke you will need a primer.
Or you can add the choke cable and for get the primer.
There is not a return line used on this carb.

JMB,
I have those gas tank fitting New Old Stock (NOS) here in NY. Like Airborn said, NOS is used to describ new, left over parts from the 70's and 80's. These would be original Deere parts in our case, not new aftermarket parts.
Holler if you need a fitting. $10.00 plus act. shipping.

Thanks guys for all the replies and answering my questions......I am going to pull it into the garage this week and start working on the details. I'm super excited to have such a cool old sled and to have found a bunch of guys that appreciate them. Cheers

Welcome to the site! The carb looks like mikuni butterfly off a yamaha enticer. Good little carb, I run one on my 440 CCW Raider and works great! Dave
