Consecutive sn 295/S's
I recently dug both of my 295/S's out of long term storage and discovered that they had consecutive serial numbers! One, my first sled, acquired in '91 is no.20803 and the second acquired in '99 is no.20804. They had been stored separately so I had never compared SN's.What are the odds that out of around 1000 that I have #803 & 804? I suppose statistically it is more likely on a limited production sled than than higher production sleds.Anyone else out there have consecutive SN sleds?

Can you elaborate on where they came from? Which dealership(s) sold them new? It would be interesting to know if they were delivered from the Horicon factory to a dealership that way or if you just happened to be that lucky? Either way it's very unique to have consecutive numbers in the race sleds. It's even better that you have had these this long to just now find it out!

That happens when someone bought two sleds at the same time from the dealership, but to get them 8 years apart from different people? That's a 1 in 1000 chance.

Re: Consecutive sn 295/S's
I don't know where they were originally purchased but I bought them about 10 miles apart so they may very well have come from the same dealer ship. The original owner of my first 295/s passed away several years ago and I am trying to find out more from his old riding buddies. The second one was purchased on a tip from my local JD dealer who knew I collected them. That one changed hands several times so tracking that one down is more difficult. In any case they are both in nice shape and I hope to get them both going again for next winter after I finish my 84 LX.
