Paul,

You’re not the only one that dodged a bullet. Last night one passed about a mile from where my brother lives which is near Perrysburg, OH. I know there are a few members that live in that general area, hope they are all ok.

I think we all realize how lucky we are when a weather event hits close to home.

A couple of weeks ago we had straight line winds hit hear in nw minnesota and our neighbors house lost all the windows on the 3 season porch, 200' away from us. another neighbor real close had debris from the first place tear up his siding. I woke up at 2 am to hear the wind sound like a freight train. Scary close!

The farm got hit by one in 07. pulled the bricks off on wall of the house, shoved the 110 year old hip roof barn through the front of the calving barn and just twisted and wrecked everything else around the farm. Took a couple years but finally got it all cleaned up last summer. It is amazing the force that is generated by those.

The weirdest part was there was a elan in the loft of the barn. The tornado somehow sucked the hood out and set it down in the field a 1/4 mile away with out any real damage but leveled the barn in the process.

Long day, I assisted with the clean up in Magnolia. I do believe I was the first person firing off the Stihl chain saw this morning at 7 am. I spent hours on a house top cutting a tree off it, not a very easy job by any means. The area was declared a disaster area around 9 am this morning. Streator, Illinois is also close by, I didnt get to go there, authorities would not let anyone in. I am sure it made the national news tonight. All is well.
