Re: Fire series Bumper tape
Thanks Robb, but I,m looking for the origional stuff Deere used as it was much thicker than the re-pop stuff, and does a much better job at hiding the bumper bolt locations on the sleds. NOS is what I,m after if at all possible. I,m like you Robb ""fussy as hell"", or it will drive me nuts. Thank you...Rob.

Rob, I don't have any. Don't know if NOS is thicker but it definately is more brittle and breaks much easier. I stick with the newer stuff these days.

Re: Fire series Bumper tape
My bad Brad. NOS parts quality is totally dependant on where and how it was stored for 30ish years. I have some high quality (3M brand) stickers from my Chevrolet dealership, closed in 1981. When I try to peel the backing off the reflective sticker just falls into a million pieces. I have some NOS yellow bumper tape and experienced breakage with it last week. Just my .02

Re: Fire series Bumper tape
I also have some NOS white & yellow bumper tape. I've tried to use some and the adhesive no longer holds and it is exceptionally brittle. I no longer even try to use it. If the stuff was stored in a temp controlled environment it MAY still work but I would be skeptical.
I know the reproduced stuff is thinner but I have been happy with it overall. Put two layers on if you want it thicker or to disguise the bumper bolts better. I use only a single layer and have been happy.

Re: Fire series Bumper tape
Thanks for the tip guys. Robb, excellent idea, never even thought of doubling up the tape. I will get some ordered up...Rob.
Re: Fire series Bumper tape
I have as much of the NOS reflective bumper tape as necessary, in narrower and wider widths, depending on your wants and needs, and is sold as-is. I refer you to the information provided in the previous posts.
