C/L 295/s

Post by JDXspec »

Theres a 295/s on craigslist in Northern IA. Spoke with the guy sounds like a very nice 295. Not a cheap sled but is probably with what he is asking? has alum skis, tether, correct windshield, eng, airbox, no small tank.

Ad doesn't say what he's asking. I doubt they really are aluminum skis, but if they are, that should definitely help the value. Looks like a nice one.

I spoke with him yesterday too. Sounds like the real deal. He has a price in mind, but more than I and someone else have offered. I am a bit amused how the "value" of a particular item can be set by a third party. You know the, "You should be able to get this for it" bit. Funny part is the third party never seems to be the buyer in those deals...anyway, it sounds like a very nice original and will make a nice addition to someone's collection. Happy hunting.

I bought it. Maybe paid a hair to much but oh well. Real nice original with the aluminum skis. It seems to run good but I am leary on riding it without replacement of the crank seals? What do you think I should do guys? I had a heck of a time getting head and exhaust gaskets for the last 295 I have.

Replace the two outer crankseals at the minimum, you can do that without splitting the case.

Where do you get the crank seals? I've had a 295 for some time now. I've been hesitant to get her going because I know those seals should be replaced. Can anybody steer me in the right direction?
