I only seen a few Deeres there this year,2 Liquifires, 2 trails, 2 Spits, a 300, 600, X8, and a Cyclone. Rich ( Takeittothelimit), was there. I did not buy anything, was looking for a Spitfire, but one was sold and the other was more than I wanted to tackle. Nothing like last year. I seen a few guys walking around with Waconia Deere shirts on.....

I had a blast in the swap area. I felt like a kid in a candy store. I never even made it into the show building.

We pulled into the Show around 11am. We had no more then gotten started perusing the swap, when I ran into Duane ( 69camaro ). We were looking over a nice '83 Liquifire, and BSing a bit, when this tall dude climbs on the trailer and starts looking the sled over real serious like. Duane says; oh, this is Sledshack.

Pretty soon he has a compression gauge out, and they are checking the Kawi out. The patient was showing 140 on each side, and so was pronounced healthy. It seemed to run nice enough, and so the serious dickering commenced.

In the show sled building, I ran into Brad Wheeling. He's the guy who bought the two Dators from the dealer who was selling out near Rockford a few years back. Very nice original sled!

We found a couple of interesting sleds for sale amongst the show sleds.

There was a 340 Cyclone with 29 miles on it. Hadn't been stored well enough, the skis and shocks were rusty, but it was as straight as a string, pretty much a new sled. No price. Really too nice to buy and ride, but way too common to have as a coffee table. I guess I'd ride it, but then as I said, I don't know the asking price.

The other was a 340/S. Very nice sled if you didn't look too close. Lot of little things were wrong, too many for the $2500 asking price if you ask me. Got into a discussion with several spectators, they think its a neat sled, but what is it?

Jefferson had a very nice show as always and like so many other vintage events it is growing every year. It was very nice meeting Scott (Sledshack) and hopefully giving some good advise. It looks as though Scott got a very nice 1-owner 83 Liquifire at Jefferson. It's kind of a funny story running into Scott at Jefferson. I see this gentleman really looking over this 76 Cyclone over thoroughly so I asked if he was on the JD site and he said yes so we got BSing and then I ran into Scott looking over the 83 Liquifire too. It's nice to go to these events and seeing familiar faces running into Brian and Rich too.
