1979 SPITFIRE for sale for parts/restore

79 John Deere Spitfire..aka "Polaris Spitfire"...runs good..starts on 1 pull...125++PSI in each jug. Engine is awesome....Track has a break in it, but comes with a nice replacement from Matt. Exhaust is good, hood is useable once painted...some yahoo painted it black and put Polaris where Spitfire should be and left orig side decals...seat foams all their, just need cover. frame is snapped where tunnel meets engine mounts...still solid...RUNS AND DRIVES...PARTS ONLY. I would not put my kid on this with the cracked frame. Was going to weld, but I am not set up to weld aluminum. If you can weld aluminum, you got a rideable ditch-banger. Lots of good useable parts on this sled......$125...email for pics

No, the Walbro37 from Johnnycyclone worked fine on the JDX4 and is functioning..The Spitfire has no running/carb issues...runs and drives...just can't weld aluminum

Going to Quakertown today with the Spit..filling the tank, taping the throttle wide open...dousing the entire sled with gasoline...fire it up...light a match...and watch her go off a 30 ft drop...will take video for everyone's amusement...seriously!...you know you all have wanted to do this sometime in your life and now we have the sled to do it...heck...it's only a JD
