I am looking for a muffler for a 1975 jdx8. I am also looking for the plastic body panel that that covers the recoil.

There were several X8/800 mufflers in sleds at my local salvage yard last time I checked. Do you still need one?

Are we talking about just the muffler here or the entire exhaust system?

I could use the entire system.... Y-pipe, expansion chamber and muffler.

Just mufflers left in the sleds. Sadly no expansion chambers but I can look around for a y pipe. I will try and get out to the salvage yard this week and let you guys know on a price.

I went back to the salvage yard and could only find one good muffler. So I gave kdowning08 first dibs on it. There is another muffler there but it has the ball joint cut off. JDT there were several KEC 440-22 engines there with Y-pipes but I couldn't remember which style was used on the X8/800.

They point straight out like this "Y", no ball joint, and have 2 spring hooks.
