As far I Know someone makes a run of them every yr or 2? but they are not cheap but that is the only way I know of to get them other than getting lucky and having someone having a set and willing to sell them. (I wouldn't mind having a set or 2 around either)

whoever does it (i can't remember who it was) needs to have so any orders to even justify running this piston. And yes the they are cheaper by the dozens.

Earl: A couple of years ago a gentleman had a run made I believe the minimum order at that time was 10 or 20 pairs & they weren't cheap, He might even have some left. I also believe he owns the remfg. rights to those pistons when ordering from that mfg. I know you weren't a member back then of this website, but everyone who was at that time had a chance to purchase Dator Pistons, some of us bought as many as we could afford, others thought they were too high priced or they would never need any, I personally thought that they were a very good investment & around the same price as any of todays current model high performance snowmobile pistons from the dealers.
Oh yea sorry but I don't have any for sale, just my $.0675 worth!

My race team is sponsored by Wiseco. We have a good relationship with them and if there was enough demand I could get a run made up. Peter

I did not realize the Dator used a 18mm wrist pin. That was unusual back then. I will talk to them soon. I know they will make them. I just hope there is a demand for them. Peter

Peter, those aren't the Dator pistons, the number I gave you above were for pistons that they specially Remfg. also a few years back for another older vintage race sled.

The Dators used a 19 mm pin "really oddball"
At the time of the ReMfg. they made up Std., .020, & .040

The Wiseco number on the Std. Dator Pistons were
9931M06000

also numbers on the box
2362 CD - 60.00 mm
010840D/561 - CW19/S615

Hey Guys,

I "think" it was Larry Hoggie (sp) that had the Dator pistons re-poped by Wisco. I grabbed a 20 over set, wish I bought two. The price wasn't too bad, I think about $100.00 a piston, and this was done about 4+ years back.

I don't know what the min. order size was, but the set up charge was pretty high I believe. Nor do I know if Larry had any rights to the piston. If he is still around, I bet he would work it out with us. All my dealings with Larry were straight up.

Good Luck guys,

My bet would be that they would be between $250.00 & $300.00 a pair now.
