I am looking for a suspension shock for an 82 liquifire.

I bought one from Image for my 82 a couple years ago. At the time, both the original style and a newer Fox design were available. I chose the Fox because it was supposed to be the better option and it was only a few bucks more.

They are still available from Dennis Kirk, and are in this years catilog. These are the Kimpex replacements shocks for the 80-84 Liquifires.

If you live near a motorcycle/ATV/Sled shop who is a Parts Unlimited dealer, they will be able to order one for you. I bought a few last year and they have the JD part number stamped on them in a Parts Unlimited box:
