Nope! No Red Lake for us Guy. Gonna take a leisurely trip to the U.P. next week and have fun!!! My racing days are over, can't afford a broken hip cause it would drive up Medicare expenses.

Thanks for all of the great comments. It was January of 2007 and I was the proud owner of a 1977 Cyclone. Son Bob kind of put a deal together for the Cyclone knowing that I had lost my best buddy horse just a month earlier and was ready to get out of the equine industry. He thought that perhaps fixing up what was already a nice sled would be therapy for me. Oh, it was!!!!

Anyway what I want to say here besides thanking Bob for getting Dad reinterested is that I owe almost everything to Chuck Moser. I had just found www.jdsleds.com about the same time as Chuck. Side Note: Everyone remember when Chuck only typed in cap's??? Finally someone told him that was yelling in computer language LOL.
Anyway Chuck gave me a stern lecture that if I was serious about restoring sleds it was imperative that I tear this machine down to the tunnel and rebuild from there. It took me about a month to decide if I really wanted that grief but there was something about Chuck that I liked from the first day I learned of him so that's what I did and the rest is history.

I want to publicly thank (or hit) Chuck for being my driving force behind my restorations. THANK YOU CHUCK MOSER!

I do believe that this sled is my final restoration as it will become my "rider". See everyone soon on the trails I hope.

Don: Scope out your UP location carefully. Trail reports (not always accurate) currently don't look good at my favorite places that normally always have great snow, ie. Paradise, Grand Maris, Newberry. Munising report is better, Strange year, but it only takes one good snowfall to change things. Good luck, Have fun........Guy

Guy, right now the conditions up there stink. But, the sled isn't ready either...kind of a double edge sword. Fun will be had snow or no snow, guaranteed.
