Just picked up a 82 Sprintfire, will be looking for a hood. Does anyone have a good used one, or is anybody repoping hoods for them?

Re: 82 Sprintfire
Hi Bob,
I got a nos hood from Image Enterprises a while back and I believe he had one more when I
got mine. I forget how much he charged but I remember it was a very fair price. Good luck.

Re: 82 Sprintfire
It wasn't the 1982 Preproduction hood. Those are very scarce. The standard Sprintfire hoods are still out there. Many of them NOS in the John Deere boxes. The problem is shipping. The boxes they are packed in are HUGE.

Robb, what do you mean by "the standard Sprintfire hoods are still out there"? I might need one.

Re: 82 Sprintfire
DA,
I know that a few years ago Dennis Kirk was selling NOS Sprintfire & Snowfire(as well as Cyclone, Liquifire, Spitfire, Trailfire) hoods for $24.99 each at their Scratch and Dent store and they had a TON of them. They were literally bringing them in from Parts Unlimited by the semi loads. They no longer have any so they all went somewhere. There are not many Snowfires out there and certainly more Sprintfires but they unloaded a lot of hoods. I know I bought two pick-up box fulls myself and should have bought more. After my restorations, I only have 2 NOS Snow hoods and 1 NOS Sprint hood left.
