Anyone doing Waconia again?
Re: Anyone doing Waconia again?
Shane, I think the first run is Souris then Dunrea, Minnedosa and Rapid City. I imagine that I am missing a few. If you are ambitious and have a one lung there is the Letellier 100 miler on Feb 19.

Thief River Falls, Mn first sat in March at the Black Cat Bar and Grill. Non judged show and ride to St Hillaire and then on the way back we ride the Red Lake River and have a bon fire/hot dog roast about half way back to TRF.SpitfireKing wrote:Well I really hope we can make it, but if not is there any other shows later in the year worth attending?

Re: Anyone doing Waconia again?
When Spitfireking said this about vintage sleds "work for 5 days run for an hour" it reminded me of one of my favorite quotes of all time. "Anyone with money can ride modern sleds, but it takes a true enthusiast to ride vintage sleds" I love that one because it's so true lol

Re: Anyone doing Waconia again?
I figure with my 10 or so complete John Deere's, and the last 16 parts sleds I bought, not to mention the many other sleds bought and stripped and some bought repaired and sold I went beyond "Enthusiast" about 10 selds ago When my wife goes into my parts shop she calls me another name, but I'm not allowed to post it on here...he he he

I just about took a JDX 8 motor to the head loading some of that stuff. I would like to think I didn't risk life a limb in vain.

LOL....your life threatening work was appreciated! I think I should be safe at least until Spring...she's not much for cold and snow so she stays pretty far away from that stuff unless I drag her out there

Re: Anyone doing Waconia again?
I can't wait,
Bringing the three kids on Saturday and the Wife on Sunday...it's a lot easier to convince her we need another sled when she's with .
Does anybody know if Wyatt is bringing his garden tractor? I got a couple of guys from work coming specifically to see it.
Best thing is we are on par to set a new snow record this year !!
See you all there.
