Not a matter of faith. Just imagine that you build this "one of a kind" JD hill racer and it is less than perfect. Are you willing to accept the money loss on the project? If so, go for it but if money is hard to come by rethink the expenditure. Just the old man in me talking.

I'm no authority no hill climbing with sleds, but wouldn't it take a lot of suspension travel for a machine like that? That's where you will have a tough time keeping it all JD.

If you ever do anything with this project, be sure to notify the producers of "Gone In 60 Seconds". Check out the failed attempts on Youtube.

Nice Pat Here is my .019 cents go buy yourself a older mountain cat w/ 151" track and put a liquifire hood on it !! there you GO ! The slogan is "nothing RUNS like a deere" NOT "nothing CLIMBS like a deere" !! sorry man all i can say is "911" "if you build it, you will spill it "
At least get a sled with IFS !!

Firerider,
Build whatever you like, but I think this one would be a long-shot. I'd be more worried about the suspension (front and back)/track before I was thinking about the engine.

not taking sides here, but i got mixed feeling on a few of my builds(the sunfire, the evil heins three banger)! go for it! not for sure on keeping it all deere but it could be a cool idea. just remember you need deep pockets to make something like this to come together, and a lot of tools, and engineering.

Re: What do you think about this?
Wel all jd parts is not going to work, im going have to bolt up a mountain skid, and i will deffinetly need more than 45hp to climb a hill ill. Come up with some idea tonight, not sure if it work but its worth a shot and imagine how "cool" it would be to have a jd hill climb sled . but I have a feeling its gonna have to wait till spring before i even think of building it.

Re: What do you think about this?
so changed it up a bit i had trouble with an idea that wasnt going to kill me. So, i went with a realy cool trail sled 440 race motor, rev skid idk what else im gonna put on it thinking its gonna run me $1000-1200 but in the end itll be a awsome sled gues ill be taking some serious work hours but ill be hapy with the finished product and, ill be putting all the john deer parts on here for sale so that means everything i take off. let me know what you need.
