Liquidator Motor numbers help

Post by JDCornFlakes »

Hi guys : I am a new member. With a bit of a urgent question.

I stumbled across a motor last night .
Had went to look at a 1980 Liquidfire for sale. Guys mentions in corner he has an original 76 Liquidator motor. Willing to sell motor....with pipes and radiator stuff, etc.

What numbers should be on this motor to confirm it as a original motor for a Liquidator?? I seen some numbers under the carbs on block.

Any help quickly would be appreciated.

THANX !!

The LIQUIDATOR motor will have KEC-340RS/24LC on a tag on the recoil housing & on the coil cover (under the carbs). also another differance between it & the LIQUIFIRE motor is that the Liquifire motor had a radiator cap on the watertank on the the top of the motor where as the Dator motor didn't have a water tank on the motor & the cap was on the radiator, & the carbs on a Liquifire motor will be mounted to the crankcase (reed valves) where as the Liquidator will have the carbs mounted to the cyl. (piston ported)
good find

Liquidator Motor numbers help

Yes, you guys are 100 % right !!! I am very , very sorry for not replying sooner.
Please accept the apology for the very slow response. Just have been working 75 hours work weekes for past 11 weeks.

Any how enough of my sad sorry story.

Yes, did turn out to be a Liquidator motor with pipes and radiator assy. I did purchase it and I am in standby mode deciding on what exactly what will do with it all now.
I do honestly appreciate the advice that was given to me from this forum. being a member of other muscle car forums I do know the frustration of not getting replies back. The cars have been a bit more of my focus with warm weather here now. But as weather turns cold will turn more to snow-mo work.

As mentioned prior, Thanks to those that offered advice and if decide to sell works I will offfer it up on this site first !

And finally Fruit Loops and Corn Flakes are as different as IH and Deere !

Any one wish to know why JD Cornflakes ?? ...contact me
