For Sale: 1980 John Deere Liquifire 440 and 1981 John Deere Liquifire 440. Both need work. Selling AS IS. $350 each/$600pair.
Neither sled has been used since 2004. They were put up back then with drained gas tanks and marvel oil in the motor.Prior to that they ran fine.
With all the snow this year I decided to get them out and ride. But it turns out that just sitting has not been good for them and work needs to be done
on them to get them running good again.I do not have the expertise or the time to do this myself.
Either one of these sleds would make perfect restoration projects for someone who loves John Deere snowmobiles.
It looks like both are complete.
I put fresh gas and oil in and they both started up ,but they run rough and one dies when you take it off choke.
I believe that the carbs need to be rebuilt or adjusted, I'm not sure. They both have dual carbs and I was never able to adjust them right.
Anyway, I decided that they would be better off in more capable hands than mine.
One of these Jonn Deeres is worth more than I'm asking for both when its fixed up and the parts alone on them are worth a lot of money.


I'm asking $350 for each sled and I will sell the pair for $600.
