73 X4 lost spark

Post by milkman »

I finally got the seals replaced in my X4 and got it running, I rode it for 15min, shut it down now nothing, zero spark. Any ideas?
Im gonna have a bonfire here pretty soon with all my dead vintage sleds, you bring the beer! :beers;

kill switch or key switch comes to mind.

Unplug the harness at the engine and see if you have spark than.

If the 15 minute ride went without incedent and you have no spark now and you eliminated the externals by unplugging the engine connector that does not leave much.

Points/condensor/coils/plugs is about all that is left.

That still has the Kohler 295 in it, right? I got a spare blower housing with stator still in it if you find bad news in yours. If I bring enuff beer, maybe we can drop 'em off at my house instead of makin' 'em all crispy :lol22:
