Anyone planning on going to the Classic Sled Round up in St. Germain WI this coming Sunday? Weather does not sound too good.

Went for a little while, walked through the show sleds and then bought lunch from the club. I haven't been there in a couple of years but the show sleds seemed way down, maybe the weather stopped people from displaying. Swap side was packed!

Saw 3 Deere's inside the show and 1 on a trailer in the parking lot (trailer was JD green too). Also saw a big Alfa motorhome in the one parking lot, nice rig :sled:

I heard that the show sled numbers were off this year. What was the weather? It didn't look good as of the end of last week?

The weather was pretty decent actually. It never really poured rain so that's good. I heard the reason why the show sleds were way down was because they didn't give trophys by class this year. They just gave a best of show and peoples choice and other ones like that. That's what I was told atleast. The swap was really good though. Especially if you're a Ski Doo guy, which I'm not but if you were they had about a million parts for you.

All tourism was way down in Nortern Wisconson area. Closed Motels, Forclosed homes and buisnesses. Just not many people up there for anything. Very sad because this area has so much to give.

I'm sure that some places were way down but I am happy to report that the turn out for ATVing in the Hurley area was the best I've seen in years! I'm really happy for them because I know that there economy up there can really use the help.

I think the weather (or fear of) was a factor too. Gas at $4 a gallon doesn't help. My place is about 9 mi from the HOF. It costs me $120 up and $120 down to fill my truck, not including any driving around or boat fuel. I can get airline tickets for that money. You know the economy in N. Wisconsin is hurting when taverns shut their doors.
