Mikuni Carburetors

Post by Mailman »

In working on my 77 340 cyclone I noticed the carb. is a Mikuni 34-123. I was going to use the carb from the 76 cyclone 440 but noticed it was a 34-84 the only difference being there was only one vent line where as the 34-123 has two. Would that make a difference if you used the proper jet, valves, and needles which the 34-123 has? Thanks for any help. Mailman

just my thoughts but if you take the carbs off the 440 an put them on a 340 I would think ya have to change a few other things cause the 440 takes more fuel an air to get its power were as the 340 takes less at the very least I would think you would have to rejet the carb to prevent it for gettin too much fuel air mix just my thoughts
wayne.
