PICS! 1972 JD 400 Restoration, PART 2

Post by jeffreyrempel »

So I will be finished my 1972 JD 400 Restoration early next week, and I already have it in the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association's Annual Snowmobile Show on November 4th, 5th and 6th here in Saskatoon. I have been slowly working on it now for two years, collecting parts, and hours of work to get everything ready. I am excited to complete it, as I have put a lot of my time into this restoration, and too much money. I will post pics as I assemble it over the next few days. I just finished the engine, and just so everyone knows, it took me two years and three 1972 340 engines to finally complete it. So this engine is very deer to my heart, LOL. I look forward to showing it off as I go, so I will be posting pics often over the next few days.

Excellent work there Jeff, can't wait to see the rest of sled. And the money thing, it always costs too much, but in my opinion it's worth it. Great job!

Thank you
The tunnel, power module and hood just got a paint job today, so I will start the assembly of the sled tomorrow.

Very nice work! It's probably best if you don't keep track of how much money you spend on these projects. It adds up in a hurry! Always worth it in the end though!
