1978 Liquifire with a KEC 340 RS/2 engine

Post by Oldsleds »

Hello, saw a Liquifire today with a 340S engine in it. Doesn't run but the engine is all there including the exhaust. Its for sale, what do you think its worth?

$50 :lol22: We need to know the condition of the sled also ?? Got any pics? How bad do you want the sled ?? Or you looking to turn a buc and sell the parts for a profit ? The engine could be worthless if it is junk but worst case senario there are parts there ??

Its always hard to say Not knowing more about the condition of the liquifire or the motor. Is the exhaust the 340/S exhuast or the liquifire exhaust?

the exhaust is from the 340s, aside from the 340s engine its nothing special, good track and chasis, junk hood. I have no pictures and its about an hour drive from here.

In my personal opinion, if it truly is an RS/2 with a complete exhaust it's worth a lot. That said, "one man's trash is another man's treasure".

I would sure consider it if you already have a 340/S. Finding another complete engine and exhaust might be an issue!

Then there's the fact that it sits in a 78 LF......

I talked to the guy, he will let me have the whole thing for $100, so i guess i will have yet another Liquifire out back but i will pull the engine out and bring it in the warm shop to store it away for when i need it. Did they ever use that engine in anything else ?

Good Job!..and no. RS/2 340cc only in 340/S (for John Deere). Perhaps a different sled maker used it.

Matt the only CCW engines Skiroule used were the the free airs and the 400 and 440 fanners.. the 340 fanners used were sachs engines ! Jdrob :usa:

I thought I remembered seeing one in a Skiroule at a show - maybe I'm thinking of the free air.
