Ready for snow

Post by The S Man »

Pointed out the door and ready for more snow. Heck it may only be a quick burn around the park, but it will be fun to get on one again after several years of nothing!

My riders ready to go, pointing out of the trailer....

And since they are in the trailer, at the moment, my shop looks like a scene from 1974:

Looks like I'm a little behind you guys.

The 82 Sportfire is still pointing into the shed, but it shouldn't take much to get it ready.

These three are still sitting sideways, we're getting closer to pointing them out the door but not quite there yet. The 80 Liquifire still needs a lot done, so that will be the last one. The 77 just needs to have the radiator, and radiator duct installed, along with the primary clutch. Then we need to fire it up for the first time and tune it. The Spitty needs the new windshield installed, plug wire ends, and the exhaust, then it's ready to fire up again.

That's a good one Ed. The funny thing is my dad built this shed back in 75 for his sled, and guess what, he had doors on both ends so he could drive in and drive out. When I hauled it home I decided to go with one set of doors, which I now regret. It would make it much easier on the back if I could just drive it out the back. Maybe I will change that next summer.

Bingo. I remember my grandpa coming over and installing a second door on the back of our little utility shed for my sled. Drive in & drive out, doesn't get much simpler than that. 8)

I'm ready now. The Trailfire is back and one piece and pointed for the door. Oh the sweet smell of two stroke.
