I-500 Postponed!

Hi Guys,

The USCC posted the following on Facebook:

Just a quick update..... USCC Red Lake I-500 will be postponed, stay tuned for new date, could be Feb 24-26. We are doing all we can here, the JOY of cross country racing! More to follow

This puts the race the weekend after after the Vintage Challenge, if it goes off as planned. Keep an eye on www.usccracing.com for more updates...

their facebook page says its march 2-4 , this will give us hopefully some snow to do some testing on at home before the big dance wade

I don't see any posts from them about that now - you better make sure it wasn't a premature announcement on someone's part.

premature what ? lol ya could be saw nothing on their site about it tonight havent looked at "the book" for awhile , in any event it doesnt seem realistic to plabn nto be racing in 2 weeks when they have no snow now and its been above freezing , oh yes but we are hopeful !! wade

I shared the link from USCC, but it's gone now. Someone might have jumped the gun. Better keep an eye out for an official announcement!

No snow in TRF right no and nothing measureable in the 7 day forecast.

I haven't cked the forecast for Thief River but the forecast here in SW MN doen't look good for at least the next 10 days for any kind of snow. Temps in the 30s most every day. That would put it really close to the date of the race and a likely possibility of no snow.

Not looking too good up here through the weekend for snow. Only a 20-30% chance between now and New Years Day.

rode my race sled today the x country buck i got the rust off the ski's
ready for the 500 when ever they have it i've been waitting 35 years for this opertunity
so when ever they have it im happy how many deere's are going
