That is so cool. More rare than the LF's cause there is only one. The only thing cooler would be an IFS Sportfire with Dual Carbs!

WOW! WOW! WOW! It just makes me sick, as I'm sure it does everyone else, that none of these IFS sleds saw production...

That first photo is so good I thought it was modern day with a digital camera.

Some interesting news I learned today when I dropped by a farm toy show and talked with a friend who had recently been allowed access to the John Deere archives in Moline.
To my surprise, he was allowed to take photographs.
For those of you who are not aware (and I just learned this myself) the archives contains a lot of experimental products.
Of course, I asked him if he saw snowmobiles there - Answer was yes, a *grin* and no more than that. Apparently, I will be seeing the pictures this coming Saturday.

Joe,
Love the "could have been, should have been" photos. There was a guy writing a book on the history of Deere sleds/Horicon right? Are you guys working together at all?
Keep filling the picture album here.

I don't think he meant that was for you, I think he meant that the model was made out of clay

As long as we are taking prototypes....
What was the hood on the original Deere sled with the twin headlights?
That clay JDX looks very similar to Skiroule RX.
just saying....
