That is so cool. Looks about 1976 or so I'd say. Kind of looks like the citation 300 also. Sure am glad the spitfire never went into production looking like that.

Matt as far as the size of the sled goes I believe it is close to full size in the pictures. I think the lack of tunnel decals makes it look weird.
As you can see the sheetmetal angles etc. are not to actual production shapes. Here is a picture of it in the back of my dads truck.

Looks short. Tech manual puts Spitfire overall length at 98 inches (or 8.1666666 feet).

Looks to have a respectable ski stance for being under 8 ft.
