What oil is everyone Running?

the only tc-w3 the store had was for outboard motors. is a 2-stroke a 2-stroke snow, or water?

That's the oil you want. The "W" was created by the boating industry and JD approved it in their snowmobiles. the "3" is the 3rd update in the formula since way back in the '70's.

The cheap walmart stuff we are finding out that it has a hugh wax content and is plugging the filter in the line, hense burnt bearings.

I used Amsoil Dominator 2 cycle oil in a Spitfire.

So....how do the Klotz, Amsoil, and the various synthetics square with the Deere TC W-3 specs they require?

I've been using the Mystic TC W-3 stuff from Farm & Fleet for several years as injector oil.

i recently finished a gallon of the mystic and had no issues caused by that oil. Deere dosent do snowmobiles any more and i think they quit chainsaws too. so an engine thats used in cold weather thats 2 stroke is no longer sold by deere???? i used there 2 stroke oils when i worked there in the 90s and had 2 cylinder issues with an 82 liquifire but i always figured that was engine design as the scores were on the intake side something the 80-84 liquifires were known for and when i csored em it was like -20f at which point you should run some premix also and i didn't know that. the gal. of mystic i finished up in the production sleds but all my race sleds and current cats run amsoil. i dont drive em enough and am tired of tearin em down lol
