Parting out a Sportfire/Trailfire

Post by sjjstreeter »

I have an 82 Sportfire with an 84 Trailfire LX 440 motor swap that I am parting out. The sled is complete, but the clutch side piston and rings are bad. Both cylinders have small grooves, but the motor ran OK until the piston went. The seat has the original foam, but has been modifed for a home made cover. I still have some of the Sportfire parts too, so if anyone wants anything, let me know.

I am located in Canastota NY.

The engine, CDI, dash, and steering support are taken.

Sportfire parts left:
Almost all of the frame
Track
Suspension
Stator and flywheel(with starter gear)
Handlebars with all wiring, throttle and brake cables
Fuel and oil tanks
Aluminum engine mouting plate
Mag side cylinder and head
Muffler
Drive gears/chain/housing
Track drive shaft
Hood
Tachometer and speedometer with the cable, drive, and flexible shaft
Recoil

Trailfire parts left:
Carburetor
Steel engine mounting plate
Track drive shaft
Misc idler wheels and shafts from the suspension
Taillight

I have an oil injection pump, and both clutches, but I'm not sure if they are from the Sportfire or Trailfire.
I also have the John Deere emblem from the handlebars. It was touched up, but still looks pretty good.

Let me know if anyone wants anything.
