Nate, when did you move?? The 2 hour drive to your place wasn't bad, but Utah will be a serious haul!

True, but the annoying thing is that now a bunch of carbs will probably show on up ebay & craiglist for that money.

Come on!!!! You all know how RARE jd sleds are!! And Walbro carbs are harder to find then Dators!!!

I see so many guys locally asking 700 plus for old beat up TF's and LF's.... The odd nut wants $1200 for a cyclone in poor shape.... The popularity of vintage sleds is great from the social aspect, but financially is starting to suck

Wow, chalk one up to optimizm. Many rough 600's aren't worth that complete.

In some ways we are victims of our own success. JRC warned us back in 06 that it would happen. Years of promoting Deere sleds on line, then Robert Carslons induction to the Hall of Fame, the founding of the Vintage Challenge, Waconia 2010 with Jesse's and the guys excellent displays all raise awareness that Deere sleds were pretty cool, and won the big one (I-500) once, and came darn close 3 other years. Endro Team Deere has been writen up in several magazines, giving the team racers, mechanics and engineers the credit they deserve.

The end result is that Deere sled are worth more than they used to be. Yup, it's a two way sword, but it sure beats those stupid plow jokes.

guys i think this gives credit to what we are doing , ya i makes our hobby more exensive for the hard to find or desirable stuff , the flip side is it also adds value to all of these projects we all drag home and work on , id hate to think that some of my projects have the same cash value today that they would have in as found condition , i took my hotrod jdx4 to the belvidere show to display .it attracted alot of interest and one serious cash offer still question sometimes why i brought it home . wade
