JDsleds Charity Sled #2
Just something to think about: I would like to do another charity sled, built by the members of JDsleds.com. I've contacted some people about possibly doing the build. I'm open to suggestions for a charity. I think a raffle is a good way to go again, however we would need a non-profit organization to be involved as an organizer for the raffle (this requires permits, depending on the state the org. is registered with). The other option would be to donate it right to the HOF as one of their annual raffle sleds.
I'm bringing this up now so we have time to get it going and together for next winter. I think a '78 Liquifire would make a great candidate, if anyone happens to know of one that is fairly complete, & cheap or could be donated.

Doesn't matter to me if it's 340 or 440, just so it isn't a wreck.lwb140 wrote:ive been more than lucky finding 78 l/fs im sure i would have something i could live without, im short on seat foams for sure , count me in on a temp gauge any thoughts 340 or 440? wade

I will help any way I can. I vote the money goes to the Hall of Fame. I do thinks the members should be the ones selling the tickets in order
to sell the max possible.

Matt,
Its a pretty good idea. Not sure if I am up for more charity work, I might be able to help you out. Drop me a line at home and I will tell you about a complete, but needs a total resto 78 440 Liquifire that I have...

I have an extremely straight 78'440 tunnel/bellypan. It's been setting on sawhorses for 2 years. Obviously I'm not getting around to it. It's yours if you need it. Tom
P.S. Depending on where you do the build...If it's too far away for me to get there,I can send anything up with Don Schmidt. He's usually passing by everywhere from one week to another.

I have seen it, it's just as nice as Tom said. Thought about using it to graft a new bellypan to the CC but would rather see it used as a Charity sled.atomc40 wrote:I have an extremely straight 78'440 tunnel/bellypan. Re: JDsleds Charity Sled #2
Guys,
I'm all for this, but i'm dead against trying to assemble one from a tunnel. It will probably take a mostly complete parts machine to get it together, so i think we are better off starting with an entire sled. Just my $0.02.
