Re: JDsleds Charity Sled #2
I think a 78 Liquifire is an awesome idea. Not sure how I can be of any help, but I will if i can.

Old sleds are hours of entertainment.... then you get to ride them for a little bit.
Re: JDsleds Charity Sled #2
I'm probably too far away to be of much help, but I will help any way I can, even if it's just selling tickets.

Thanks for the offer on the chassis & engine, but I would agree with Dustin that we should start with something mostly complete.

Thanks Joe! You're the man, I don't care what, well, everyone says about you. Looks like we have a good start. Does anyone have a charity they would like to see supported?

Well, I for one, have never said anything mean about Joe. Or even teased him for that matter. So, it doesn't surprise me that he (or Cari) decided to thin the herd, so to say, and give up this nice sled.
I will be more than happy, on final build day, to stand around and take pictures like I did on the sportfire. Just putting that out there.

Matt,
I like the HoF, but we could split it like Don did with the charity Sportfire.

Re: JDsleds Charity Sled #2
Great news! Transportation of the sled from Joe's to Brock's shop is going to be donated by Terry @ B & B Vintage Snowmobile Transportation.
I think I'd like to to do a split as well between the HOF and an organization that does good things for the world. St. Judes is a great one. I'm going to call the HOF this week to discuss.

Re: JDsleds Charity Sled #2
Matt,
That is great to hear. Feel free to give Terry my cell number to arrange pick up of the sled. As far as splitting the proceeds, after having a large pre-cancerous tumor removed from my shoulder last year, I would like to support cancer research in some way. And I would like to see the HOF get half as Don did with the Sportfire.
Dustin and Brock are doing a great thing donating the labor. I will support them with as many NOS parts I can spare. I hope the rest of guys chip in to do what they can too. Wonder how many tickets I can sell in Texas?!
Thanks,
-Joe

Re: JDsleds Charity Sled #2
Most states today require a "license" to hold a raffle. That usually requires a not for profit designation. While I like the idea of St. Judes, or cancer research, or other worthy projects if we used the Hall of Fame's number/license it would make life easier with regards to legality. Rereading what I just wrote I'm not sure I was clear. I would suggest ONE place to donate to and that we use their "people" to get the license.
