1976 liquifire 340 and 1972 400 for sale

Post by jeffreyrempel »

Hi everyone.
I have decided to start on a project that I have always wanted to do. I want to restore an old truck. I just purchased a very rare 1967 Mercury 250 4X4 and another 1967 Mercury parts truck.
I am selling my 1976 Liquifire 340. I have NOS parts to go with it including:

snow flap-m66218
thermostat and thermostat gasket-am54096 and m66564
piston kits (left and right including rings, pins and clips)- am53902 and am53903
cylinder head nuts X8- m66695
v-belt-m64188
v-belt-m66345
carb boots X2-m66867
carb flanges X2-am53953
speedometer drive-am53554
speedometer cable-am53639
gasket kit-am53912
seals-m66555 and m66694
flywheel-am53921
starter-am52454

grab handles-new breed
full decal kit
I payed $300 for the sled and I have $1000 invested in NOS parts. I am taking offers.
I am also taking offers on my 1972 JD 400.
Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, just think how nice your 400 would look in the back of that truck.

Isn't the internet great? Didn't have a clue as to what you bought, but a quick search and walla...have fun with your new project.

The best part is that there are only three of these trucks left and i own one. its going to be an expensive restoration but worth it in the end. i love the mercury trucks and the three quarter ton 4x4 is very rare. i wont be selling the 400 unless the price is right. probebly wont get offered enough to want to sell.

I believe that mercury trucks were produced primarily for the Canadian customer, but I could be wrong on that one. They are getting harder to find, so I was lucky to find this one as 4X4's were rare and they only produced 200 of the mercury trucks that I have.

Nice find. Did you find it locally or did you have to travel?

I found the 1967 mercury 3/4 ton 4X4 in south west saskatchewan and it will be delivered next weekend for a total cost of $1400 (truck plus delivery). Over-all, the truck is in good restorable condition. The floor is solid which is a bonus, but it needs a box, tailgate, and front corner panels. Also, the engine and transmission are mechanically solid and usable. I was very fortunate to find a 1967 mercury 1/2 ton parts truck near Yorkton through a want add on kijiji for $300. This parts truck is complete and in nice shape! The box, tailgate, hood, grill, doors and panels are rust/dent free and the interior is nice.

This is a good start. I have a complete truck now, so the rest is time and money.

so buy my liquifire. lol

Nice find I am working on a 75 chev blazer full convertible that is rusted bad. Found a body that had all new metal but no motor in Saskatoon this winter told the guy I wanted it and would pick it up in 2 weeks. He said sounds good called him 4 days before I was to go pick it up to arrange a time, we set up a time called him the night before I was leaving and he said he sold it to someone else the day before. On the hunt for another body again.

Maple Leaf was the canadian Chevy's. There is one sitting at my uncle's, I think they were exported the other common wealth countries.

No Oshkosh's that I know of, lots of Fargo's and mercs.
