Removed the bumper and foot rests, so the top half is stripped down. :dance:

Got it up on the saw horses and removed the chain case.

Removed the speedo drive and what was left of the rear grab handles, then got it flipped over and ready to remove the suspension. :dance: Moving right along. :beers;

Took out the skid and didn't like what I saw but it will be an easy fix.

The 340/S rails have been breaking at that point since 1975.

The load needs to be spread out at the end of that weldment.

It also appears that the limiter bolts on that front arm are missing.

Ok well this project is moving a little slow right now, have other things going on so hoping to hit the ground running pretty soon with it. I do have a couple pics to post since the last bunch so here they are. Got the chassis all stripped and got the suspension welded up.

Technically you're wrong Brian, it should read since 1974 as they broke during testing and we (340/S drivers) received information on how to reinforce the suspensions.
