Hang in there, you will make it. Sounds like growing pains with the new location.

OK, I would be going nuts too, good luck, and remember that there are many of us that would love to be there than can't make it.

Have fun,

Rainville, you're right. Have to keep the right attitude. They have a lot of growing pains! But once we were in it was still a lot of fun. They have many bugs to work out and the feedback from this weekend will be interesting, but they still have a huge show that draws thousands of people and hundreds of swappers. It was a good time!

Haydays sucks, it really, really sucks. Sorry, Haydays really does suck. What a waste of a day. I doubt I will ever go back again. I would probably need good reviews for several years in a row to ever trust them again. Shame on anyone who goes there next year. Three years in the planning for this? I hope Princeton plans on expanding for next year because I'm pretty sure there are thousands planning on switching their focus to Princeton next year and saying heck with Haydays. Terribly run, terrible layout, just plain terrible. I did see a really nice refrigerator being hauled out today. Great selection on car/truck rims/tires, chainsaws, and large assortment of weed trimmers. Thanks for nothing Haydays.
Sincerely
Duane (with aching back, legs, and knees)

Imagine driving several hours to get to the event, only to sit in line for several more and then be told they weren't letting any more people in. I did not go, but did talk to a few who did. Enjoyable if you got in and were shopping. Not so for those swapping who spent half the day just trying to get to the swap area and even worse for those turned away at the gate. Room for improvement indeed...but the weather was perfect and any show is better than no show at all.

I got there 30 minutes before gates opened and i was able to drive right in with no delays. Very muddy site and needed to lock in 4 wheel drive to enter. Entertained myself by watching all the stuck RV,s. Now for all the guys complaining about this event let me put a different twist to this.

We all talk about the problems with the sno-Barrons <hayday organizers> and that is all legite but the problem i have is with the selfish swappers. Yes i said it. ............The swapping area has now turned into a campsite with little swapping.
People come from all over the country and decide that it is cheaper to just pay the swap fee, throw out a table with a couple rusty parts or nothing at all than complain to everybody on how crowded it is. What i saw was campers in the gates and the swappers were stuck out in the overflow or not even able to get to the event. Thats >>ULL#HIT.

Over at Vintagesleds i saw the same guys that used Haydays as a campsite now whining about how congested it was. I see these guys just as much of a problem as the organizers. Dont like it do us all a favor and stay home.

Chuck, I got there 15 minutes later and waited over 1 hour and 35 minutes. I would have been there at 6:35 except for the local person who wanted to ride with me was 10 minutes late. That will never happen again because he will never ride with me again if he is a minute late. I'm still pissed a day later. Did anyone load up on the bicycles and ATV tires?

I would also have to agree that there is a lot more than just growing pains!!! I left with the intentions of actually swapping this year. Got there friday night at 5:00 they were full, my buddy i followed up had a reserve spot and was finally parked at 10:30 pm!!! The guy behind him, as well as countless others, with prepaid reserve spots were told to go home that they were full!!! Ended up staying in a farmers yard a mile away and just walking to the show saturday. Saturday all we heard was people bitching, about parking seven miles away and walking in, to people who paid for 3 swap spots and were told they could only use 1, to the State Patrol telling people getting off I -35 that the show was at capacity and they needed to go home. It was absolutely a joke!!!!!!!!!! People on motorcycles were giving people rides to the grounds for ten bucks. All the people who lived around the grounds were forced to sign a paper stating they would not allow any parking, or selling of motorsports related items on there property by penalty of the law!!! I took a day off work get ready and drug my trailer 3 hours away from home for nothing. But that was minor compared to the people I talked to from Canada, Wisconsin, etc. who did the same and had the same result. And on top of it all Chuck skipped out on buying me the steak sandwich he owed me!!! But i will agree with Chuck what a joke the $140 parking spots that people had in the swap, especially when I had a trailer full that i would have loved to sell out of. Kind of made you mad to walk past three to four swap spots just to actually see a spot with stuff for sale. By the way did anybody see the plane pulling the big banner that said" THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE BIG IMPROVEMENTS FOR 2011 I wonder how they got that plane hired and the banner made so fast!! Anyway I'll quit bitching, and besides I did get to see Chuck so that will put a smile on anybodys face!!!
